About Us

The Havarti Club – because whenever we come together, it is a party!

The friendship started (for 7 of us) when we were in elementary school, as neighbors on Maynard Street and Redstone Drive in East Longmeadow, MA.  Mary Ann was adopted by the group after a trip to Paris in 2022. On Sunday April 12, 2025 at Center Square Grill, the Campanella girls – Diane, Gail and Debra; the Arlotta girls – Mary, Sandi and Jo; Kathy Twohig and Mary Ann Rubis met for the Founding Meeting of the Havarti Club and the awarding of official T-shirts.

The Official Havarti Oath

• I pledge on a Wedge of Cheese to Brie Gouda to my fellow Havartians, who are Cream of the crop, Nacho your average but Cheddar than the very best!
• I pledge to always Taleggio the truth Ricotta of the circumstances.
• I pledge to never be Muenster-ish no matter what Camemberts my Whey. I will Provolone to be a true Blue friend and not String Havartians along.
• I pledge to be neither a Jack ass nor a Paneer in the ass, even on Gruyere and Halloumi days when my Fontina-ist Swiss might be to go Roquefort, Salut goodbye, put on my Derby and Romano aimlessly in my Chevre, starting a Neufchatel life as a Goat farmer with a Cottage in Gloucester, Mozzy-ing or Limburgering aimlessly along.
• I pledge, Fromage the bottom of my American heart, that no matter how you Slice or Dice it, and in Queso of good times or bad, to Havarti party as long as I can! So help me Gouda.
